Homework!!
Each student will have a planner, and they will write their homework daily.
In Math -They will have a few problems each night, but some of them will finish in class. Please check with them and see that the work is complete. Their notes in their binder, is the material we are covering.
I will send home a study guide for any big test.

We will start working on - Place Value through 0.001

In Science  - We will be using a new program called Science Scope.  I will tell more as soon as I complete the training.  I am really excited about this new program.  I will send home a study guide to help prepare for test.

I am Susan Forthe Rigg.  My husband is Christopher Rigg, and we have two children.  My daughter Cassie is 12, and she is a 7th grader at HMS.  My son Colton is 8, and he is a  3rd grader here at MBE.

In 2011, I was selected as MBE's Teacher of the Year.  It was an honor and privilege to represent MBE.

This year will be my 26th year teaching!.  I taught one year at Lake Park Elementary, and I have been at Moulton-Branch Elementary since it opened in 1993.  I taught 3rd grade for 8 years, 4th grade for 16 years, and this is my second year in 5th grade!

I have taught all subjects in third and fourth grade.  Year before last,  I taught only Science and Social Studies. Last year, I taught Math, Science and Social Studies to my class and Mrs. Leger's class.  This year, I am teaching Math and Science to our two classes.  I am really excited , we will explore land forms, electricity, magnetism, cells, and inherited traits in Science, and  we will be challenged daily during our Math exploration.  This is going to be a fun year with lots of learning for all of us!
