Dr. Stevenson with Fresh Koncepts stopped by with some of his friends to recognize two of our fifth grade students. Sabra Martin and Tommy Alonzo Gonzalez were both chosen by fifth grade teachers to receive this month’s “Top Reader” and “Most Improved Student” awards. We are so proud of Sabra and Tommy for all of their hard work. Huge thanks to Fresh Koncepts for partnering with our school this year to help recognize student achievement at MBE!
Students enjoyed dancing and laughing while learning about PBIS at MBE. Students were able to also participate in MBE PBIS trivia.
Thankful for our CPIE partner, Kona Ice, for rewarding our Super Students each month! Congratulations to these students!
Students in Ms Vovk’s small group practiced a skill they call “scooping.” They use this to help them sound out larger, more difficult words in a text. Once they’ve “scooped” all the words, they read the text again for more understanding.

Mrs. Weeks has the 4th grade gifted students conduct research about notable multicultural figures. The students will present their research at our school-wide multicultural heritage night in October.
