🚨 Important Announcement! 🚨
Due to the rainfall in our area, along with flooding, potential road conditions, and power outages, we are postponing Open House and all other scheduled activities including the first day of school. Once the storm passes through, we will assess safety conditions before determining when activities will reconvene. Open House and Ignite will be rescheduled when it is safe for our staff, students, and families to access roadways and facilities. We will keep you updated. The safety of our staff and students is always our top priority.
A phone call to families was not able to be completed at this time due to service outages, but one will be sent as soon as we are able.

The One Where We Start a New School Year! ✏️📚💻🎶🏈
PGM staff members kicked off preplanning by attending a wonderful #OneLowndes convocation on Wednesday. We cheered for all the Lowndes County teachers of the year, including our very own Mr. Dillon Swilley, and left feeling inspired by speaker Dave Weber.
Today, we celebrated our new and returning staff members with a "Walk of Thunder" at our first faculty meeting. It's going to be an exciting ride! We truly are #BetterTogether and can't wait for our students to return next week. 😊

⏰ Time change! Beginning 7/29, PGM summer football workouts will run from 3:30-6:00 PM Monday-Thursday. Once school starts, practice will run from 3:45-5:30 PM. 🏈
PGM will host a brief orientation specifically for military families with new students (especially 7th & 8th graders) on Monday, July 29 at 11:00 AM. This is an opportunity to tour the school and ask questions prior to open house.

🏀 Looking to improve your basketball skills this summer? PGM is hosting a basketball camp for our rising 7th grade girls who are interested in improving their technique. Camp will be held in the PGM gym and will run July 8 through August 1, every Monday - Thursday from 8:00-10:30 AM. 🏀

2024 STEM Camp was a blast! We asked, imagined, planned, designed, tested, improved, and shared! Students created creative products, participated in fun challenges, and learned along the way. 😊 #STEM #OneLowndes

On the last day of post-planning, our staff surprised Dr. Clemons by wearing shirts with their favorite "Clemons-isms" -- phrases we've heard frequently over the years. 😊 Dr. Clemons has been ALL IN since PGM opened in 2009, serving as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and then principal. We will miss his leadership, his dedication to doing what is best for students, and his contagious laughter. But most of all, we wish him the best on the next step of his journey in education! #AllInForever #TheGrove
