On the 2nd Day of Christmas Mrs. Vovk and Mrs. Hampe’s class wore their favorite hat or headband and ate Santa hats made out of donuts, strawberries and Cool Whip.

Congratulations to two of our second grade students, Kayden Cook and Cheyanne Wood. They were chosen as this month’s Top Reader and Most Improved Student for 2nd grade! Dr. Stevenson with Fresh Koncepts stopped by with his friend, Mr. Cross from Recoil, to help us recognize and reward them both. They were presented with a certificate, a gift card, passes to Recoil, and certificates to Texas Roadhouse! A great big thank you to Fresh Koncepts for helping us reward academic excellence here at MBE!
Students in the Life Skills class completed a Kindness project on November 13th - World Kindness Day. We wanted to do something nice for those who help others. Second Harvest was chosen to receive a catered lunch from Texas Roadhouse. To fund this event, our Life Skills class hosted a school-wide fundraiser - The Coin War! Thank you to all of our students, families, and staff that participated in this event! Thank you to Texas Roadhouse for donating the rolls to go along with the loaded baked potatoes! Thank you to Second Harvest for everything they do for our students, staff, and community!

Due to the extended power loss from Hurricane Helene, many of our schools have lost food designated for Thanksgiving lunch scheduled for Thursday, November 21st. Unfortunately, this means we only have enough food available for our students and staff. Thank you for your understanding that we will not be able to accommodate visitors at lunch on that day,
